英語裡 「燒錢」 也和throw有關，是throw good money after bad，意思是燒錢、花冤枉錢。

throw a fit

fit在這裡並不是適合或健康的意思，fit做名詞，有發作的意思，throw a fit意思就是大發脾氣，相當於angry，也可以用have a fit。

throw in the towel

towel是毛巾的意思，當有人說 throw in the towel 時，可不是讓你把毛巾扔了！實際意思是認輸、放棄、投降。

就會往地上扔毛巾表示認輸，類似的表達有throw in the sponge。
