The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted millions of lives worldwide. Today, while the situation in China appears to be reaching a turning point, the pandemic at the global level shows no signs of abating. The number of confirmed cases and deaths remains high, and more countries are affected as time goes by. By now, the total number of confirmed cases globally is over 1 million and over 61,000 deaths have been recorded. The US and Europe have now become the epicenter of the pandemic, where a majority of infections and deaths are reported.
COVID-19已在全球範圍內感染數百萬人，時至今日，雖然疫情在中國已得到有效控制， 但在世界其他國家仍繼續蔓延。這一全球性傳染病所導致的確診及死亡病例、以及受疫情 影響的國家都還在不停的增加。到現在為止，全球已確診的病例總數超過100萬，並導致61,000多人死亡。目前美國、歐洲成為了新的疫情中心，其確診及死亡病例最多。
China has accumulated good amount of clinical experiences for the management of this disease. The protocol in the 「Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for COVID-19 (Trial Version 7)」 highlighted the guideline and directives of combining Western Standard of Care (SOC) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment options for various conditions. It was the latest update based on previous versions published in China. The TCM formulation in this protocol was based on the expert panels』 experience and supported by evidence from many clinic centers, the ER room observations, and the inpatient hospitals nationwide, especially in Wuhan, Hubei province, combining with the latest scientific research knowledge.
中國在應對疫情方面積累了大量的臨床經驗，並取得了成功。在國家發布的《新型冠狀病毒肺炎診療方案（試行第七版）》中，將西醫標準治療與中醫藥治療共同作為治療各種階段的新冠肺炎的推薦方案。這些中藥治療方案是基於臨床專家組的治療經驗、以及包括武漢在內的國內眾多醫療機構的循證醫學證據的支持，同時也結合了最新的科學研究結論。
The world must unite and spare no effort to contain the virus. The medical options must be exchanged across different systems to combat the worldwide problem. During this webcast presentation and discussion, experiences from those leading Chinese experts on COVID-19 and top global scientific and clinical experts will share and discuss the latest scientific insights, clinical experiences and national policies regarding COVID-19 disease.
