If you see stars, you are partly unconscious because you have been hit on the head.

想一想，除了抬頭望天之外，你還能在什麼時候看到星星?就是被撞倒或是打到眼冒金星的時候了。所以see stars又有「眼冒金星」的意思。
而make (one) see stars其實就是指「揍人」(to strike one in the head)揍到ta眼冒金星。
例：
I bumped my head on the door, and saw stars for some five minutes afterwards.
我一頭撞在門上，接下來的5分鐘里，眼前金星直冒。
If you damage my car in any way, I'll make you see stars!

「You're a star.」是什麼意思?
劍橋英語詞典里對「You're a star」是這樣解釋的：
something you say to someone when they have been nice and helpful to you
當你對他人伸出援助之手時對方說的話
其實是在誇你：你真是個大好人。
=It's very nice of you.
相當於我們常說的：你真是我的大救星。
例：
Thank you so much for giving me a hand. You're a star!
非常感謝你幫了我的忙。你人太好了!
I really appreciate what you did for me. You're a star! Thanks a million.
我真的很感激你為我所做的一切。你真是個大好人! 萬分感謝。
但實際上也有明星的含義：
如果你真是明星名人，You're star.也可以是:
你是大明星, 這裡的star=明星。
get stars in one's eyes
get stars in one's eyes不要按照字面理解為「眼睛裡有星星」，實際的意思是「自鳴得意」。
例：
He got stars in his eyes just because he got the lead role in the school play.
他僅因為自己是校園劇中的主角，就洋洋得意。
