在英語中，it這個詞應用的還是比較廣泛的，很多地方都會見到it的影子。在學習的過程中，記憶量很大，把握起來相對也比較複雜。所以，今天Stone老師就來聊一聊it在英語中的各種用法。一起來學習吧。
一、it的用法
1.用來指代時間、距離、天氣等
It is half past two now.（指時間）
現在是兩點半了。
It is six miles from here to the nearest hospital.（指距離）
從這兒到最近的醫院有6英里。
It is a lovely day, isn't it?（指天氣）
天氣很好，不是嗎？
2.用來代替指示代詞this或that
—What's this? —It's a panda.
這是什麼？ 是只熊貓
3.用來指代前方提到的事或沒提到但說話雙方都明白的事
I had a talk with Mary and it was helpful.
我和Mary談了一次話，這很有幫助。
4.不知道對方是誰或不知道性別。尤用於打電話、敲門和指代嬰兒。
There is a knock on the door, go to see who it is.
有人敲門，你去看看是誰。
Wow! What a lovely baby! Is it a he or she?
哇！好可愛的寶寶啊！是男孩還是女孩？
5.用作形式主語或形式賓語 。真正的主語或賓語用不定式、動名詞或從句充當。
It is dangerous for you to swim in the river.
在河裡游泳是很危險的。
We feel it our duty to make our country a better place.
我們覺得讓我們的國家成為一個更加美好的地方是我們的責任。
6.用於強調句中。It is / was +被強調部分+that / who
It was at the palace ball that Mathilde lost her necklace last night.
昨晚Mathilde是在皇宮舞會上丟的項鍊。
7.常用it的固定短語或句型
It is a pity / shame that 真可惜
It is no wonder that 難怪
It seems / appears that 似乎
It happens that 碰巧
It occurs to/ comes to / strikes / hits sb. that 某人突然想起
It is said / reported that 所說
It is no use / good doing 做某事沒有好處
It is (high) time that......should do / did 是該做某事的時候了
It it the first time that sb. have / has done sth.是某人第一次做某事
It is / has been......since 自從……已經……時間了
It will be / was ......before 還要……時間才
It takes sb. some time to do sth. 做某事花費某人多長時間
see to it that 確保
count / rely / depend on it that 相信
as someone puts it 正如某人所說
when it comes to 提及；談到
appreciate it if 如果……將不勝

二、常見的辨析
it, one , ones, that, those
it經常指代同一個事物，即與前文提到的事物是同一個。如
I can't find my hat. I din't know where I put it. （it就指代前文的hat)
one經常指代同個類事物，即與前文提到的事物是同一類。複數形式是ones。如
Your pen is so beautiful. I also want to buy one.（one就指代前文提到的pen這類事物中的一個即可）
4.that經常用於比較級中，指代一個單數或不可數名詞，指代單數時可以與the one替換; 指代複數名詞時用those。如
The population of Shanghai is larger than that of Qingdao.（that指代population，不可數名詞)
The hat you bought is bigger than that I bought.（that指代hat，可數名詞單數，可以與the one替換）
The TV sets we made this year are better than those we made last year.（those指代TV sets，複數）
