MAP备考指南
MAP考试包含阅读（Reading）、数学（Math）、语言运用（Language Usage）和科学（Science）四个科目，但国际学校一般不考科学。

MAP数学
年级：K-12年级
时间：约60分钟
题目：约52题
题型：选择题、拖拽填空题
考点：
number sense 数感
estimation and computation 预估和计算

measurement 测量
statistic and probability 统计和概率
problem-solving, reasoning, and proofs 应用题解决、推理和证明
可以看出，MAP数学就是依据美国课程大纲这7大板块来考试，3到12年级的课程板块都是贯通的，但知识难度会逐渐递增。
国内的孩子考MAP数学一般没什么问题，只要能跟上考纲的课程节奏，然后进行适当的超年级练习，考出来的平均分都比美国孩子的平均分高很多。
有些刚转入国际学校的孩子数学考不好，是因为对数学的英文表达不熟悉。这种情况只需要有老师带着用英文讲数学题，并在课后多熟悉数学的英文专业词汇，成绩一般都能很快跟上。
MAP阅读
年级：K-12年级

信息文本：阅读理解
——判断句子主体、观点对错、时间事件顺序、文章段落主旨等。
Literature：Reading comprehension

——了解人物特点、作者目的、主要情节和事件发展顺序等。
Foundational Skills and Vocabulary词汇和基本技巧
——考察词汇的语音、词义、正反义词等词汇关系。
由于英文是美国的母语，所以他们设计的阅读题，即使是低年级的题目篇幅也很长，这对国内的孩子来说真是一种挑战！
如果是从小就读国际学校，英文水平流利的孩子那MAP阅读并不成问题，只需做一些针对性的辅助练习和答题技巧训练就能有效提分，但大多数的孩子英文并不能达到母语水平，只能稳扎稳打做好长期备战的准备了。

接着就是阅读技巧的练习。阅读大多都是文章主旨、故事情节、细节判断和上下文词义匹配题，这部分可以靠练习来提升的。
例如Compare and Contrast（对比与比较）就是比较常用的阅读技巧训练。这种技巧可以帮助我们分析事物的异同点，判断事物之间的区别。下图展现了Compare and Contrast技巧中常出现的关键词，能提升学生抓取文章信息的速度。
MAP语言运用
年级：K-12年级

Mechanics：Punctuation usage.
语言结构：标点符号的使用。
Grammar： comprehension of word forms and tenses, sentence structures, phrases and clauses, and accurate spelling.
语法： 理解单词的形式和时态，句子结构，短语和从句以及准确的拼写。
Writing strategy： prewriting, drafting, revising, and editing.
写作策略： 预写，起草，修改和编辑。
The writing application： Understand various composition forms，such as poetry, personal narratives, and expository compositions
写作应用： 了解各类文体形式，例如诗歌，个人叙事和说明文。
MAP语言运用也是国内孩子考试的重难点，它包含了英文语法，但又不限于英文语法，还有大小写、标点符号、拼写、改写句子、修改文章等题型。
很多学校对语言运用都没有系统的讲解和练习，缺乏这方面的基础对未来的写作质量也会有影响，因此语言运用也是需要重点提升的科目。
