The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted millions of lives worldwide. Today, while the situation in China appears to be reaching a turning point, the pandemic at the global level shows no signs of abating. The number of confirmed cases and deaths remains high, and more countries are affected as time goes by. By now, the total number of confirmed cases globally is over 1 million and over 61,000 deaths have been recorded. The US and Europe have now become the epicenter of the pandemic, where a majority of infections and deaths are reported.
COVID-19已在全球范围内感染数百万人，时至今日，虽然疫情在中国已得到有效控制， 但在世界其他国家仍继续蔓延。这一全球性传染病所导致的确诊及死亡病例、以及受疫情 影响的国家都还在不停的增加。到现在为止，全球已确诊的病例总数超过100万，并导致61,000多人死亡。目前美国、欧洲成为了新的疫情中心，其确诊及死亡病例最多。
China has accumulated good amount of clinical experiences for the management of this disease. The protocol in the “Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for COVID-19 (Trial Version 7)” highlighted the guideline and directives of combining Western Standard of Care (SOC) and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) treatment options for various conditions. It was the latest update based on previous versions published in China. The TCM formulation in this protocol was based on the expert panels’ experience and supported by evidence from many clinic centers, the ER room observations, and the inpatient hospitals nationwide, especially in Wuhan, Hubei province, combining with the latest scientific research knowledge.
中国在应对疫情方面积累了大量的临床经验，并取得了成功。在国家发布的《新型冠状病毒肺炎诊疗方案（试行第七版）》中，将西医标准治疗与中医药治疗共同作为治疗各种阶段的新冠肺炎的推荐方案。这些中药治疗方案是基于临床专家组的治疗经验、以及包括武汉在内的国内众多医疗机构的循证医学证据的支持，同时也结合了最新的科学研究结论。
The world must unite and spare no effort to contain the virus. The medical options must be exchanged across different systems to combat the worldwide problem. During this webcast presentation and discussion, experiences from those leading Chinese experts on COVID-19 and top global scientific and clinical experts will share and discuss the latest scientific insights, clinical experiences and national policies regarding COVID-19 disease.
