越来越多的外国人在中国生活、工作，已经成为了中国社会的常态。
显然，在这样一种情况下，作为中国这片土地上客观存在的外国人们，其对于中国的印象和态度，就显得极为重要了。
1、Jack's
China is a fascinating and rapidly changing country. Old customs and habits hang on as modern skyscrapers go up every second, the country becomes more of a global powerhouse, and people from around the world move there.
中国是一个令人着迷而又快速变化的国家。旧有的习俗依然坚守，与之相随的是现代摩天大楼每时每刻都在拔地而起，这个国家变得越来越像一个全球能量场，来自世界各地的人们都趋之若鹜。

Recently my friend Vat and I finished a three-month stay in China. The plan was, with minimal preparation, to arrive in China and speak as little English as possible, in order to learn Mandarin Chinese.

The trip transformed my perception of China, from the unfair image it sometimes has in the West—Don’t judge a country by its media coverage。
这次旅行改变了我对中国的看法，也就是改变了之前中国在西方时常的不公平形象—不要以媒体的报道来评判一个国家。
Hating China is a popular pastime of Western media. I saw a very different kind of China. Kunming, where I lived for most of my stay, wasn’t polluted.
憎恨中国是西方媒体流行的一种消遣，我看到了一个完全不同的中国。我大部分时间都住在昆明，那里并没有被污染。
China has its own versions of YouTube, Netflix, eBay, and Google.The relationship with food in China is fascinating, and I was amazed at the diversity of ingredients and flavors.

Ask people which places they know of in China and most people will raise their hand for Shanghai and Beijing. But China is too big, and our choice is not just Beijing and Shanghai.
要是问问人们他们都知道中国的哪些地方，那么大多数人会举手说上海和北京。但是，中国实在太大了，我们的选择也并不仅仅只有北京和上海。
I had never heard of Kunming, a “small” city of around seven million in the southwestern province of Yunnan, before researching places to live. It ended up being one of my favorite places I’ve ever lived in, with weather a perpetual spring, mountain temples, and lunch for under a dollar.

I am hoping to move to Shanghai in September to teach English so I really enjoyed this post! I am so looking forward to exploring not only China, but all of Asia. From what I’ve heard, travel within Asia is very cheap. I’m really looking forward to exploring it.

Wow, I've been to China before and I've tried to learn Mandarin. I'm sure that place will be missed by you. At least in the two years before I left China, I often recall walking on the streets of Chengdu.

So agree with the post of how the “Don’t judge a country by its media coverage” part. China was incredibly fascinating, frustrating, and rewarding. We are still learning Mandarin – and probably will for the rest of our lives. And there is more to China than just the usual places, for sure. Great post.

A lot of what I found interesting about China can also be applied to a lot of Asian cultures. Head over to Southeast Asia and you will notice it’s all about food! Instead of saying “Hello, how are you?” when you meet someone, you even greet them with a “Hello, have you eaten?” as a way of saying hi.
我发现的很多关于中国的有趣之处同样也可以在很多亚洲文化中适用。到东南亚去，你也会发现这里到处都是关于吃的！当你遇到某人时，作为打招呼的方式，甚至会用“喂，你吃了吗？”，而不是说“你好，你好吗？”。

I have always wanted to visit China, there culture seems so fascinating and different from the western.

Once you’re interested in the local culture, people open up more。

Guilin is beautiful. Lugu Lake must be seen. The pandas in China are lovely, but I was warned not to wander through crowded stations. In addition, Shanghai is a beautiful place. If you are sincere enough, most Chinese are friendly and helpful. They are willing to make friends with foreigners who respect themselves.
桂林很美，泸沽湖是必须要去看，中国的熊猫很可爱，但是有人告诫我说不要在拥挤的车站肆意穿行。另外，上海是一个美丽的地方，如果你足够真诚的话，大部分的中国人还是很友好和乐于助人的，他们愿意和尊重自己的外国人做朋友。
All in all, the attitude of the Chinese towards you must be more kind. They are a very gentle people. Even if you offend them carelessly, they will give you enough time to explain, but this does not mean that you can do whatever you want.
总得来说，中国人对你的态度，一定是善意更多的，他们是一个十分温和的民族，即使你不小心中冒犯了他们，他们也会给予你足够的时间进行解释，但是这并不代表着你可以为所欲为。
