as if/as though都是「好像」的意思，引導的表語從句或狀語從句常用虛擬語氣。
1.如果從句表示與現在事實相反，謂語動詞用一般過去時。請看例句：
Don't handle the vase as if it were made of steel.
不要這麼拿著這個花瓶，就好像它是鋼製成的。（與現在的事實相反，注意在虛擬語氣中只用were不用was）
2.表示與過去事實相反，謂語動詞用had done,請看例句：
She talked about the novel as though she had really read it.
她談論那部小說就好像她確實看過一樣。（與過去的事實相反）
3.表示與將來事實相反，謂語動詞用would/might/could+動詞原形 請看例句
It looks as it might rain.（as if 引導表語從句，與將來事實相反。）
