行動開始時間;(尤指軍事行動的)發動時刻
Zero hour這個慣用語始於1917年一次大戰期間，用來表示發動某一項軍事行動的時刻。負責下令的軍官會看著手錶上的秒針倒數計時，一旦秒針走到零點，就會下達出動指令。後來zero hour跳脫了軍事用語的局限，泛指生活中各種情況里的「關鍵、決定性時刻」。
