Make的用法小結

(1) 做；製作；製造:

Can you make any mooncakes?

(2)使，迫使，令：

主動句：make sb. do sth. :

I don't likemilk, but she made me drink it.

Don't make thebaby cry anymore. 不要再讓那個孩子哭了。

Sad moviesmake me cry. (來自Unit11單元題目)

被動句：sb. be made to do sth. :

She was madeto wait for over an hour. 她被迫等了一個多鐘頭。

英語中，類似於make這種用法的動詞還有let, have, hear, see, watch, notice, feel等。如：

I saw him putthe key into the keyhole, turn it and open the door. 我看見他把鑰匙插進鎖孔，轉動鑰匙，然後打開了門。

She was seento go into the classroom. 有人看見她進了教室。

make 作系動詞，其後跟形容詞作表語：

1c. would rather……than…… 的用法：

一.寧願做某事而不願做某事的可以同義句轉換的4個短語：

1.would rather do sth. than do sth. 寧願做…… 而不願做……

I would ratherstay at home than go shopping.

2.prefer doing sth. to doing sth.

寧願做…… 而不願做……

喜歡做……而不喜歡做……

I prefer staying at home to going shopping.我寧願呆在家裡也不願去購物。

3. prefer to do sth. rather than do sth.

I prefer to stay at home rather than go shopping.我喜歡呆在家裡，而不喜歡購物。

4.sb.do sth.instead of doing sth.

I stay at home instead of going shopping.

我待在家裡而不是去購物。

二.would ratherdo sth.寧願做某事：

I』d rather goto Blue Ocean because I like to listen to quiet music while I`m eating.

2b.drive sb.crazy/mad使人發瘋發狂。

2.be friends with sb.成為某人的朋友。

3.leave out忽略；不提及；不包括。

3a.worry的用法

1.worry可作及物動詞，意為「使煩惱」，「使焦慮」，常接sb.作賓語。如：

(1)What worried you so much? 什麼事使你這麼著急？

(2)His bad health worried his parents greatly. 你身體不好,使他的父母很發愁。

2.worry也可作不及物動詞，意為「煩惱」、「擔心」、「發愁」，常跟介詞about或over如：

(1)Tell them not to worry. 告訴他們不要擔心。

(2)They are worrying about the coming exam. 他們正在為即將到來的考試而發愁。

3.worry about和be worried about都表示「對……擔心，憂慮」。如：

(1)Don't worry about John. He'll be back soon. 不必為約翰擔憂，他馬上就回。

Don't be worried about John. He'll be back soon.

(2)There's nothing to worry about. 沒有什麼要擔心的。

4.worry後接從句時，也表示「為……擔心」，此時不用介詞，worry可看作及物動詞。如：

(1)The teacher worried that the exam might be too difficult for herstudents.這位老師擔心此次考試對她的學生來說可能太難了些。

(2)Don't worry how much you spend. 別擔心花多少錢。

四.be close to接近，靠近（to是介詞）。

課文原句：We were so close to winning that game.我們如此接近贏得比賽。

五.continue to 繼續做某事
