英語語法：一句話弄懂know（相識）和recognize(認出）區別

在英語學習的過程中，小詞的意思一定要弄清楚，否則容易鬧笑話。

know 和 recognize的區別

know 意為「與......相識」，是延續性動詞；

recognize意為「認出」，是瞬間的動作，只有在認識的基礎上，才可以認出。

例句如下：

I have known him for ten years, but I didnot recognize him just now because he has changed so much.

我認識他已經10年了，但他的變化如此之大，我剛才沒有認出來。

1.to know who someone is or what something is, because you have seen, heard, experienced, or learned about them in the past

認出；認識；辨認出

• I didn』t recognize you in your uniform. 你穿上制服我認不出你了。
• It was malaria, but Dr Lee hadn』t recognized the symptoms. 這是瘧疾，但李醫生沒有認出症狀。

2.to officially accept that an organization, government, document etc has legal or official authority

正式承認，認可

• British medical qualifications are recognized in Canada. 英國的行醫資格在加拿大也被認可。

• The World Health Organization has recognized alcoholism as a disease since 1951. 世界衛生組織從1951年以來就已承認酗酒是一種疾病。

3.to accept or admit that something is true
