Agricultural cooperation delivers benefits to Belt and Road countries

Nothing, not even mountains and oceans, can separate people with shared goals and vision.
曾经，各国农作物在古代丝绸之路上的流动与贸易，带来了世界农业的延展与兴旺。
More than two millennia ago, the ancient Silk Road opened up several routes of trade which had served as distribution hubs for crops of countries worldwide, bringing about the development and prosperity of world agriculture.
而今，农业国际合作依然是“一带一路”倡议的重点领域，也是沿线国家共建利益共同体和命运共同体的最佳结合点之一。
Nowadays, agricultural cooperation between worldwide countries still represents a focus of the Belt and Road Initiative, and also one of the key areas where countries along the routes can best align the building of a community of shared interests and a community of shared future.
自改革开放以来，中国农业发展取得了举世瞩目的历史性成就，为全球粮食安全、贫困治理和农业可持续发展做出了巨大贡献。
Since the reform and opening up, China has made impressive achievements in agriculture, and played a great role in advancing global food security, poverty alleviation and sustainable agricultural development.

“一带一路”倡议提出六年来，中国农业与海外农业联系愈加紧密，沿线国家农业产业优势得到充分挖掘，从亚洲到非洲，从单一合作模式到各领域全面开花，农业“走出去”打开了一片崭新的天地。
Since the proposal of the Belt and Road Initiative six years ago, ever closer ties in agriculture between China and other countries have been forged, and potentials of B&R countries in agriculture have been fully unleashed. As a result, the B&R agriculture cooperation has seen a growing number of participants from Asia to Africa, and given a great boost to international cooperation in many fields beyond agriculture, thus helping countries along the routes break new ground in internationalizing agriculture.
2017年12月，“一带一路农业合作学院”在北京成立
2017年5月，四部委联合发布《共同推进“一带一路”建设农业合作的愿景与行动》，成为农业国际合作的纲领性文件，其为农产品贸易、农业科技、农业投资、农业能力建设等领域提供了前所未有的机遇。
In May 2017, the Ministry of Agriculture, National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs jointly issued the Vision and Actions on Jointly Promoting Agricultural Cooperation on the Belt and Road. Mapping out a program of action for advancing international agricultural cooperation, this document has presented unprecedented opportunities for trade, technology, investment, capacity building and other fronts of agriculture.
目前，中国已与80多个沿线国家签署了农（渔）业合作的文件，合作共识进一步凝聚；进博会，农博会，茶博会等一系列展会活动，让中外的农产品贸易更加丰富便利；法律保障，人才培养，标准互认，农业合作示范区建设等服务体系和产业合作平台逐步搭建，农业国际合作一路高歌猛进，成果丰硕！
So far, China has signed cooperation documents with more than 80 countries along the routes on agriculture (fishery), as it looks to build more consensus on cooperation with the international community; held a series of exhibition events such as China International Import Exposition (CIIE), Agricultural Expo and Tea Expo, as it works to diversify and facilitate agricultural trade in China and foreign countries; set up a host of agricultural cooperation service systems and platforms in fields like legal protection, personnel training, mutual recognition of standards, construction of agricultural cooperation demonstration zones, as it seeks to secure great, fruitful and continuous results in international agricultural cooperation.

新时代、新机遇、新征程。在“一带一路”高质量发展的引领下，农业国际合作将为这绵延千年的丝路洒下一路芬芳，结出一路硕果。
In the new era defined by new opportunities and new journeys, international agricultural cooperation guided by the initiative’s high-quality development is bound to rejuvenate this time-honored Silk Road by delivering practical benefits to peoples along the routes.
