先前我們報道過，OpenAI旗下人工智慧聊天機器人ChatGPT的付費版本ChatGPT Plus於11月中旬毫無預警的情況下宣布暫停新用戶註冊（相關報道）。據OpenAI官方表示，由於伺服器超負荷，因而暫停新用戶註冊。今晨（14日）OpenAI行政總裁Sam Altman在個人X（前稱Twitter）發文表示已重新開放ChatGPT Plus付費訂閱註冊。
Sam Altman在X表示目前已重新開放用戶註冊ChatGPT Plus，同時向耐心等候OpenAI尋找GPU的期間無法使用ChatGPT Plus的用戶致謝。

Sam Altman在上月15日於X宣布，由於對ChatGPT有興趣的用戶比預期多，OpenAI的伺服器無法負荷如此龐大的流量。為了確保現有用戶有良好使用體驗，OpenAI因而決定暫停新付費用戶註冊。

據Zing Gadget數據顯示，ChatGPT今年首10個月份使用量達146億次，平均每月有15億使用量，而周活躍用戶更超過1億，世界500強公司中有超過9成企業均有採用OpenAI的產品。
