項目簡析
賓夕法尼亞大學的社會政策（Master of Science in Social Policy)項目，下設於社會政策與實踐學院(SP2)，項目時長11個月。該項目配備世界一流的師資力量，教授們利用數十年的學術、教學和教育以及社會政策等領域的經驗，幫學生們積累社會政策領域的相關經驗。同時，該項目能夠引領學生參與現實世界的社會政策分析，並將使學生們推動健康、住房、教育、移民等領域的有意義變革做好準備。
賓大社會政策還有一個和數據分析相結合的項目，簡稱為MSSP+DA，是一個STEM項目。該項目為學生提供了數據分析基礎、數據結構編程、量化分析、機器學習、預測分析、空間分析和以及面向公眾的數據抓取和數據可視化等數據處理技術方面的核心培訓和技能。學生將學習諸如SAS、Java、Python、GIS等程式語言，以處理和分析社會政策方面的數據。同時，該項目在課程設置上同樣匹配社會政策經濟學、法律及社會政策、社會分析等課程。完美結合了文科思維的社會政策與理性思維的數據分析與算法。
MSSP為學生提供具有競爭力和前沿的數據分析政策實習機會，使畢業生能夠在快速發展的社會政策數據分析領域工作。同時，該項目也將實習學分納入Capstone項目。學生們需完成至少6-8周/150小時的實習來磨練政策分析技能，也為畢業生們未來在社會分析領域內工作積累經驗打好堅實基礎。
申請新變化
這個申請季，賓大MSSP項目申請大改版。不僅申請的Deadline提前（有且只有一輪DDL：12/15）；Writing Sample也變為命題作文；還增加了人人都要參與的Video Interview環節；原本幾乎每個人都要被邀請的一對一面試，也改為挑選性面試，拿到面試的人不一定被錄取，反而很多同學會無面錄。從錄取結果來看，我們的學員幾乎人手獎學金。附Writing Sample和Video Interview要求，供同學們參考。
Writing Sample：
Please include a writing sample based on a prompt provided below that demonstrates the critical analysis of a social problem and policy issue. Responses should be a maximum of 800 words, double-spaced, and size 12 font.
The COVID-19 pandemic has a substantial and ubiquitous impact on social lives around the world. Provide a critical analysis of what you see as the most salient social consequence(s) of the COVID-19 pandemic. Include how you would use social policy to address these consequences and/or shape new futures. You may include evidence or data to support your argument.

When your recording is finished, review your video interview to make sure everything is recorded properly. If you are unable to play your video, it did not record. Do not submit your application until you have confirmed the video interview recorded correctly.
