但實際上是表示take a drug to make yourself high

knee high就是as high as your knee，齊膝高、高到膝蓋的意思。knee-high就是形容詞。

身體部位+high就表示到...高，比如chest high = 齊胸高；waist high = 齊腰高。

大家要注意一下high和tall的區別！當high和tall都表示高的時候：

a high sugar/salt/fat/fiber... content意思就是高糖/高鹽/高脂/高纖維。換個用法就是be high in sugar/salt/fat/fiber...。
high in sth意思是...的含量高，這裡的high是表示contain a lot of a particular substance or quality，包含大量特定的物質。

have friends in high places看上去像不像我上頭有人的感覺？實際上意思確實差不多了。
這個詞表示know important people who can help you，可以解釋為有路子、有後台。

high ground
high ground的確是高地的意思，從高地這個意思引申出了（比賽或辯論中的）優勢、有利條件。
