Paparazzi are independent photographers who take pictures of high-profile people, such as actors, athletes, politicians, and other celebrities, typically while subjects go about their usual life routines. Paparazzi tend to make a living by selling their photographs to media outlets that focus on tabloid journalism and sensationalism (such as gossip magazines).
Some experts have described the behavior of paparazzi as synonymous with stalking, and anti-stalking bills in many countries address the issue by reducing harassment of public figures and celebrities, especially with their children. Some public figures and celebrities have expressed concern at the extent to which paparazzi go to invade their personal space.
Fan (person), a fanatical enthusiast or supporter, especially with regard to entertainment and sports.
STAN: A blend of "stalker" and "fan", i.e. someone that is overly obsessed with celebrity
Christina Grimmie was shot twice in the head and once in the chest by a deranged fan during a meet-and-greet at her concert in Orlando Florida.
Christina Grimmie
I hate those sasaeng fans, I can't believe that they want to hurt and disrespect their idols like that.
In South Korean culture, a sasaeng, or sasaeng fan, is an obsessive fan who stalks, or engages in other behaviour constituting an invasion of the privacy of a idol or other public figure. According to the estimates of celebrity managers in the Korean media, popular Korean celebrities may have "between 500 and 1,000 sasaeng fans", and be actively followed by about 100 sasaeng fans every day.
Sasaeng fans are described as often being female, aged 17 to 22, and driven to commit what in some cases may amount to borderline criminal acts in order to gain attention from celebrities. Examples of such acts include seeking out celebrities at their dorms or homes, stealing their personal belongings or information, harassing family members, and sending idols inappropriate gifts such as lingerie.
They are not concidered as true fans. They can break into their rooms, someone had hit them/him/her with a bag full of rocks, someone had put a camera in a teddy bear the gave to them and someone even put drugs into their drink. Some of the sasaengs even hire taxis to follow their k-idols. They will do anything to make them remember you
