皮卡丘讓小侄女用英語介紹家人，她首先想到介紹家有幾口人，於是聽到：My family has five people. 皮卡丘趕緊糾正了這句英文表達
01、「我家有五個人」英語怎麼說？
中式英語：My family has five people.
地道表達：There are five of us in my family.
由於漢語和英語的語序不同，說話的重點也不同，英語表達偏向用「it」，「there be」以及名詞性主語開頭。而中國學生則習慣用「I，we，they，my」等開頭的句子，不僅通篇句式單一，也打破了英語表達的語言習慣。
所以以下兩種翻譯模式
My family has XX people.
My family is of XX people.
說出來是能理解的，不過有點像硬翻......
02、「大家庭」英語怎麼說？
有些家庭里有很多的成員，我們把其稱之為「大家庭」。那麼「大家庭」是用 ：big family 還是 large family？
兩者都可以表達大家庭，只是程度不同，一般大家庭我們最好使用big family， large family 通常至少有10人以上
例句：
A smallholding in the hills could not support a large family.
山間的一小塊耕地是不可能養活一大家人的。
I don't think we ever made a conscious decision to have a big family
我覺得我們沒有刻意地決定要生很多孩子。
03、成家≠ start a family
start a family 並不是指成家的意思，而是指準備生小孩。Family 在英文里可以指：子女，尤其指年幼的子女。
Start a family=have children （生孩子、要小孩）
例句：
They decided to start a family.
他們決定要孩子。
04、I'm in the family way什麼意思？
千萬別直譯成：我在回家路上（×）
在路上介詞應該用on，on the way才對
I'm on the family way（√）
如果一個男生說出這樣的話，會被人笑掉大牙的，因為它是「我懷孕了」的意思
口語表達：to have one on the way也有懷孕，新生兒即將出生的意思
例句：
Did you hear the good news? Pikachu is in the family way!
你知道那個好消息了嗎，皮卡丘懷孕啦！
懷孕還可以說：
I'm pregnant.
I'm expecting a baby.
Have a bun in the oven.
5、The black sheep of the family
black sheep of the family 表面意思是家裡的黑羊，其實指的是家裡的：不肖之子，害群之馬以及我們常說的敗家子，敗敗類
例句：
Pikachu is the black sheep of his family. He had almost ruined his father's Business.
皮卡丘是個敗家子。他幾乎毀了他爸爸的產業。
如果把前面的 black sheep ，替換成 rainbow sheep就是指：，家裡的幸運兒的意思啦
