我們開始吧。

今天,繪本的題目是:「The Duck Race

在聽故事之前,希望大家可以聽一遍錄音,結合插畫,理解繪本。然後再聽娜塔莉講故事,看看,有沒有之前沒有注意到的小細節,聽完錄音,我有幾個問題:

Who won the duck race?

What happened?

race 是 「賽跑、比賽」 的意思

The Duck Race 是 「鴨子比賽」 的意思

Look at the front cover,

Who are they?

They are Kipper, Chip, Biff and Wilma's family.

Where are they?

They are on the bridge.

What are they looking at?

They are looking at the ducks.

他們是誰?

他們在哪裡?

他們在看什麼?

So, What might happen?

What is "Duck Race"?

Let's open the book and turn to page 1.

所以,可能發生什麼呢?

什麼是 「Duck Race」 ?

Kipper, Chip, Biff went to Wilma and wilf's house.

What can they do?

Kipper, Chip, Biff 去 Wilma 和 wilf 的家玩。

他們可以玩些什麼呢?

Wilma had an idea.

Wilma 有了一個主意。

idea 主意,好主意 good idea

What was Wilma's idea?

Let's check the table.

What can you see?

I can see yellow papers. (紙)

I can see a scissor.(剪刀)

I can see a glue, crayons, pencils and a tape.(膠水、蠟筆、鉛筆、膠帶)

" Let's have a duck race, " said Wilma.

Biff gave her a big thumb.

Biff 豎起了大拇指。

Kipper, Chip, Biff and Wilma's family came to the park.

They were standing on the bridge.

Mum was the referee.

Kipper 他們來到了公園,站在一座橋上。

Mum began the race.

" Drop the ducks in,"said Mum.

「 把鴨子扔到水裡吧!」 媽媽說。

down 向下;up 向上

went down 向下 / flew down 飛下來 / went downstair 下樓梯

went up 向上 / flew up 飛上去 / went upstair 上樓梯

stream [striːm] 小河、小溪

river 也是小河的意思,和 stream 有什麼區別呢?

通常來說,river 是指 小河,而 stream 多指 小溪,

river 比 sream 印象中會更大一些。

A stream is a small narrow river.

Oh no! Wilma's duck sank.

sank 下沉,Poor wilma!

Wilma 的鴨子沉下去了。

Chip's duck got stuck in the reeds.

Biff's duck got stuck in the weeds.

got stuck 就是 「被卡住了」 的意思

卡在哪裡了呢?

Chip 的鴨子卡在蘆葦叢里了。in the reeds

Biff 的鴨子卡在水草里了。in the weeds

reed [riːd] n. 蘆葦

weed [wiːd] n. 水草、野草

我們發現單詞里都有 ee 這兩個字母,ee /iː/

When 2 Vowels go out walking

the 1st man does the talking.

The 1st man says his name: /iː/.

but his friend won't do the same.

這兩個元音 e 是好兄弟,他們出去散步

第一個 e 開始說話了,他自我介紹,我叫 /iː/

但是他的兄弟沒有開口說話。ee /iː/

娜塔莉找到了一段視頻可以幫助小朋友記憶

Wilf's duck got stuck on a log.

got stuck 卡住了;log 原木

Wilf 的鴨子被圓木卡住了。

"Get it off with a stick, " said Chip.

off 有離開,離開某處的意思,

所以 Get it off 就是 「把他弄出來」 的意思

Chip 說:「 用一根棍子把它弄出來吧!」

look at Biff,

why was she holding on to Chip.

She was afraid Chip will fall into the river.

我們看下 Biff,她正抓著 Chip。

那是為什麼呢?

因為啊,她怕 Chip 太靠近,會掉進水裡。

Kipper's duck went fast.

Kipper 的鴨子跑得很快。

fast 快的;slow 慢的

It went past Dad's duck.

past 超過

它超過了爸爸的鴨子。

Kipper jumped with joy.

Kipper 高興的跳了起來。

Biff was sad when her duck was out.

Biff 很難過,因為她的鴨子出局了。

Two swans flew down.

swan 天鵝;flew down 飛下來

兩隻天鵝飛了下來。

They landed on the ducks!
