尊敬的Jamie Prenkert教授，尊敬的胡勇學長，各位老師、各位校友，
在此，我代表學院歡迎各位新老朋友，向本次大會的召開表示祝賀！
各位校友畢業於不同院系，從事不同職業，今天走到一起，是因為大家都是中大人，都是嶺南人，因為大家都有著難以忘懷的嶺南情誼。CHEMBA校友會是個有凝聚力、有溫度的校友會，感謝歷屆理事會為校友會的建設打下的基礎，特別是我來到學院接觸到胡勇學長，感謝以胡勇學長為代表的歷任會長、理事長為建設校友會發展做出的貢獻。
在此，我代表學院特別要感謝胡勇學長，「用心、用力、用情」，這六個字很好地總結了胡勇學長在擔任會長期間對學院以及校友工作的貢獻。我記得胡勇學長之前說過的一句話，「校友力量是推動學院高質量發展的重要支撐。」無論是校友會年會、校友會座談會，亦或是學院董事會、會長論壇都能見到胡勇學長的身影。任職期間，胡勇學長在嶺南學院和卡爾森管理學院的聯絡上起到了正向積極的作用；疫情期間，胡勇學長帶領校友們為學院購置捐贈防疫物資、關心關懷校友等等工作，令人感動。他對學院發展和CHEMBA校友會工作的高度重視和關心以及他對學院發展的建言獻策、帶領CHEMBA校友會工作更上一層樓的領導力和凝聚力令人欽佩！校友會不同於其他各種組織，校友會的特殊性在於，它是連接學院與校友的紐帶，是凝聚校友的同心圓。做好校友會的工作，更要靠理事會成員們的凝心聚力，做到「心往一處想、勁往一處使、擰成一股繩、下好一盤棋」。期待新一屆校友會理事會在新任會長的帶領下，開拓創新、再立新功，繼續把校友會和校友工作做好。
近年來，學院在人才培養、科學研究以及人才引進等方面取得了較大成績。比如我們目前已派出16位20級、21級拔尖班學生正在歐洲（挪威經濟學院/哥本哈根商學院）進行為期半年的交流學習；我們開始招收全國首批2024年非全日制數字經濟碩士；我們剛剛獲批成立廣東省哲學社會科學重點實驗室「中山大學粵港澳大灣區數字經濟與數據科學實驗室」；我們成功引進師資超過10人，更成功引進1位高層次人才以及1位諾獎獲得者……未來，學院將繼續深化施行人才戰略、特色戰略和國際化戰略，更好地立足當下，不忘初心，砥礪前行。
學院的發展建設不僅是全院師生的努力，更與廣大校友的支持密不可分。校友走多遠，校友影響就有多遠，校友發展有多好，學院發展就有多好。CHEMBA項目的校友都是國際性的高層次經濟管理人才，希望大家為學院發展多提出寶貴的意見和建議，希望大家繼續一如既往的關心支持宣傳學院！

Dear Professor Jamie Prenkert, Esteemed Hu Yong, Faculties and fellow alumni
On behalf of the college, I extend a warm welcome to all the new and old friends gathered here today, and offer my congratulations on the convening of this conference! As alumni, we come from different faculties and pursue diverse professions. However, today we come together because we are all part of Sun Yat-sen University, and we share the cherished Lingnan spirit that remains deeply ingrained in our hearts. The CHEMBA Alumni Association is a cohesive and warm community, and we are grateful for the foundation laid by the previous boards of directors. In particular, I would like to express my gratitude to Hu Yong, whom I had the privilege of working with since joining the college. I appreciate the contributions made by the past presidents and directors, represented by Senior Hu Yong, to the development of the alumni association.
On this occasion, on behalf of the college, I would like to express special gratitude to Senior Hu Yong. The words "Dedication, Effort, and Passion" perfectly summarize Senior Hu Yong's contributions to the college and alumni work during his tenure as president. I remember a quote from Hu Yong, "The power of alumni is an important pillar for promoting the high-quality development of the college." Whether it was the alumni annual meeting, alumni symposium, college board of directors, or president's forum, Hu Yong was always present and actively involved. During his term, Hu Yong played a positive and proactive role in fostering connections between Lingnan College and the Carlson School of Management. During the pandemic, Hu Yong led the alumni in procuring and donating epidemic prevention supplies to the college, showing care and support for fellow alumni. His high regard and concern for the development of the college and the CHEMBA Alumni Association, as well as his valuable suggestions for the college's growth, and his leadership and cohesion in taking the CHEMBA Alumni Association to new heights, are truly admirable. Alumni Association is different from other organizations. Its uniqueness lies in being a bridge between the college and the alumni, forming a cohesive circle that brings alumni together. To carry out the work of the alumni association effectively, it relies on the concerted efforts of the board members. We should strive to align our thoughts, coordinate our efforts, pull together as a team, and strategize effectively. We look forward to the new board of directors, under the leadership of the new president, exploring new innovations and achieving further success in the alumni association and alumni work.
In recent years, the college has made significant achievements in talent cultivation, scientific research, and talent recruitment. For example, we have sent 16 outstanding students from the 20th and 21st cohorts to study abroad in Europe (Norwegian School of Economics/Copenhagen Business School) for a six-month exchange program. We have started recruiting the first batch of part-time students for the 2024 Digital Economy Master's program. We have just been approved to establish the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Philosophy and Social Sciences, the "Sun Yat-sen University Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area Digital Economy and Data Science Laboratory." We have successfully recruited more than 10 faculty members, including one high-level talent and one Nobel laureate...In the future, the college will continue to deepen the implementation of talent, distinctive, and internationalization strategies, grounding ourselves in the present, staying true to our original aspirations, and forging ahead.
The development and construction of the college are not only the efforts of the faculty and students but also inseparable from the support of the alumni. The farther the alumni go, the greater their influence. The better the development of the alumni, the better the development of the college. The alumni of the CHEMBA program are international high-level economic and management talents. I hope everyone can provide valuable opinions and suggestions for the development of the college, and I hope you will continue to care, support, and promote the college as always!
