詞彙和語法是英語學習的主要內容之一，貫穿於語言學習與應用的整個過程之中。因此，詞彙和語法的學習是語言學習的重中之重。考生詞彙量的大小、詞彙運用能力的高低、語法知識掌握的嫻熟程度直接體現了考生綜合運用語言的能力。
2022年全國大學生英語競賽筆試第二部分，即詞彙、語法（Vocabulary, Grammar），主要由由15道四選一的選擇題組成，主要考查各類別參賽者在本類別內英語學習中所應掌握的詞彙及語法知識；在15 道小題中，還包含2-3 道情景對話類小題，用以考查參賽者根據上下文語境做出反應的能力。

1、【題型解讀】
該題型主要考查同學們在書面語表達上正確運用詞彙、詞組、短語動詞以及各種語法知識的能力，也考查大家在口語表達上根據會話主題、情景及習慣表達正確運用詞彙、詞組、短語動詞及各種語法知識的能力。詞彙和語法部分題型為選擇題，共15道題，計15分，其中包括12-13道語法和詞彙題、2-3 道情景會話題。要求應試者從四個選項中挑選出最佳答案。
2、【答題策略】
詞彙和語法密不可分，在大學階段，單純的語法類試題出現的機率很小，多數為考查詞用法的試題，這裡提請同學們注意。
詞彙部分側重考查對形近詞與近義詞的辨異和運用能力、對短語動詞的認知與運用能力、對介詞與其他詞搭配使用的能力、對常用詞語的認知與運用能力；
語法結構部分主要考查時態、語態和語氣結構的運用能力、對非謂語動詞的運用能力、對各種從句的掌握與運用能力、對不同意義的短語引導詞的運用能力；
情景會話由A 和B 兩人圍繞日常生活中一定的話題或場合展開會話，每個情景會話包含3~4 句，考查考生對準確語法和語義的辨別能力、對口語中固定的表達方式的應用能力、對語言的理解能力。
